Partner Recommendations & Consumer Disclaimer
Last Updated: August 14, 2026
The Local Hub connects our community with local businesses we have chosen to stand behind based on our vetting standards.
Local Hub partners pay a partnership fee to participate in The Local Hub and receive partnership services and promotion. Payment does not guarantee our recommendation or continued partnership. Every partner is expected to continue meeting The Local Hub’s standards.
Each Local Hub partner is an independently owned and operated business and remains responsible for its own products, services, customer relationships, offers, transactions, and business practices.
Our Commitment
The Local Hub was created to help connect our community with local businesses we believe are trustworthy, reputable, and committed to taking care of their customers.
We take our recommendations seriously.
Before accepting a business as a Local Hub partner, we take steps to learn about the business and the people behind it. Our vetting process varies depending on the type of business and the licensing or regulatory requirements that apply to that industry.
Depending on the business, The Local Hub may review and verify information including:
Business registration with the Oregon Secretary of State
Professional or industry licensing
CCB or LCB licensing and status, when applicable
Required insurance
State or local business licensing, when applicable
Public reviews and customer feedback
Business reputation
Customer service and responsiveness
Our involvement does not necessarily end when a business becomes a partner.
During an active partnership, The Local Hub may periodically re-check applicable licensing, registration, insurance, reviews, customer feedback, or other information relevant to our standards.
We also maintain communication with our partners and may conduct secret-shopper evaluations or other reviews of the customer experience.
Paid Partnerships & Our Recommendations
Local Hub partners pay a partnership fee to participate in The Local Hub and receive the services associated with their partnership.
That payment does not buy our trust or guarantee our recommendation.
A business cannot pay its way around our standards. Becoming a partner does not guarantee that a business will remain a partner, and payment does not prevent The Local Hub from reconsidering or discontinuing a recommendation when warranted and permitted under the applicable partnership agreement.
Our goal is to recommend businesses because we believe they meet The Local Hub’s standards, not simply because they participate in the platform.
What a Local Hub Recommendation Means
When The Local Hub recommends a business, it means that based on the information reasonably available to us, our vetting process, and our experience with or knowledge of the business, we believe that business meets our standards at the time of the recommendation.
However, no vetting process can guarantee every individual customer experience.
A Local Hub recommendation does not guarantee a particular product, service, transaction, result, workmanship, or outcome.
Businesses and people can make mistakes. What matters to The Local Hub is how a business conducts itself, communicates with its customers, responds to concerns, and takes accountability when appropriate.
Independent Businesses
Every Local Hub partner is an independently owned and operated business.
The Local Hub does not own, operate, employ, manage, supervise, or control its partner businesses or their owners, employees, contractors, or subcontractors.
When you hire, purchase from, book with, visit, or otherwise do business with a Local Hub partner found through The Local Hub website, mobile app, social media, or other Local Hub platform, the transaction and any resulting agreement are between you and that independent business.
The Local Hub is not a party to that transaction or agreement.
Each partner business remains responsible for its own:
Products and services
Workmanship, when applicable
Employees and subcontractors
Pricing and billing
Estimates and contracts
Warranties and guarantees
Refunds, repairs, corrections, or other remedies
Customer service
Licensing and insurance requirements
Business practices
Legal and regulatory obligations
Consumers should review any contracts, estimates, warranties, policies, licensing, insurance, or other information they consider important before hiring or purchasing from a business.
Partner Deals & Offers
The Local Hub website, mobile app, social media, and other platforms may feature special offers, discounts, promotions, or deals provided by Local Hub partners.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, these offers are established and fulfilled by the individual partner business, not by The Local Hub.
The partner business is responsible for the terms, availability, eligibility requirements, expiration dates, restrictions, and fulfillment of its offers.
Deals and promotions may be subject to expiration, availability, or other conditions established by the partner business.
Consumers should review the terms of an offer and confirm any questions directly with the participating business before making a purchase or booking a service.
If you experience an issue with a Local Hub partner honoring an advertised Local Hub offer, we want to know about it.
Have a Concern About a Local Hub Partner?
Please contact The Local Hub.
If you have a serious concern involving one of our partners, we want the opportunity to know about it and review what happened.
The Local Hub may ask for information about the situation, review information provided by the consumer and business, communicate with the parties involved, and consider how the partner responds.
A complaint does not automatically mean a business did something wrong. We believe it is important to consider the circumstances and, when appropriate, hear from both sides.
We pay particular attention to whether a partner:
Communicates honestly
Treats customers respectfully
Responds appropriately to legitimate concerns
Takes accountability when appropriate
Makes reasonable efforts to resolve problems
Continues to meet the standards expected of a Local Hub partner
When information brought to our attention causes us to question whether a business continues to meet our standards, The Local Hub may take appropriate action consistent with the applicable partnership agreement. That may include further review, suspension, termination of the partnership, or discontinuing our recommendation.

Resolving a Dispute With a Business
The Local Hub takes concerns about its partners seriously, but we are not a dispute-resolution or legal service.
The Local Hub does not act as an attorney, legal representative, mediator, insurer, claims adjuster, bonding company, regulatory agency, or court.
We do not determine legal liability between a consumer and a business, and we cannot compel an independent business to issue a refund, perform additional work, pay damages, honor a disputed claim, or provide another particular remedy.
Consumers and businesses remain responsible for resolving disputes between themselves and may pursue any rights or remedies available to them through applicable licensing agencies, insurers, bonding companies, financial institutions, courts, attorneys, or other appropriate resources.
The Local Hub’s role when a concern is brought to our attention is to consider that information as part of our decision about whether we are comfortable continuing to recommend and partner with that business.
What The Local Hub Stands Behind
The Local Hub cannot promise that every experience with every partner will be perfect.
What we can promise is that we take seriously who we choose to put The Local Hub’s name behind.
We are responsible for representing our vetting process honestly, taking credible concerns seriously, evaluating the information reasonably available to us, and making thoughtful decisions about the businesses we continue to recommend.
Our standards matter because our reputation is attached to every recommendation we make.
A Local Hub recommendation reflects our assessment of a business based on the information available to us. It does not replace a consumer’s own judgment or guarantee a particular product, service, transaction, or outcome.
Trust isn’t advertised. It’s earned.
Fearlessly Local. Unapologetically Honest
